Attempted Robbery and Gunshot Victim on Stafford Road (Brookdale area)
On April 16, 2025, the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call regarding a victim sufferingfrom a gun shotwoundfollowing an attempted armed robbery. Multiple deputies arrived at the scene minutes later and discovered a male with a gunshot wound to the leg. The area was promptly secured, and EMS transported the male victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies and detectives are actively searching for evidence, suspect information, witnesses, and pursuing various investigative leads. We will update the media as soon as we obtain information that can be released with out hindering the investigation.
There is no reason to believe there is any threat to the publicat this time, as the suspects) fled the scene before deputies' arrival.
