The North Carolina Department of Insurance Bail Bond Regulatory Division has reported a new scam targeting families of individuals being held in detention facilities across the state.

Four individuals were arrested in Harrisburg on February 13 in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier that morning in Concord, N.C. Police responded to a shooting on Alberta Court, near Old Charlotte Road, at approximately 10 a.m. and found a victim who was taken to the hospital. The suspect vehicle was later spotted by Cabarrus County Sheriff’s deputies during a patrol in Harrisburg. The four individuals were taken into custody and transferred to Concord police.
